New Auntie!!!

On Sunday, July 26, 2010 at 12:08pm. Miss Lexie Grace Thornton made her debut weighting 5 lbs. 2 oz. and 19.5 inches long. I love her so much!! Lexie and he momma are doing well. Andrea had platelet issues, but she seems to be getting better everyday. Both mom and baby will hopefully be going home on Wednesday. *More pictures to come*

My first refinishing project!

I (finally) finished the nightstand project after several months of storing it in the garage. Overall, I think it took around 3 hours to complete. I am in love with it. It looks distressed from all the scars it has accrued over the years. This furniture has been moved 9 times I believe. I added some vintage knobs that I purchased my Anthropologie back in the fall. I can't wait to get started on the dresser!

The past eighteen months.

Well, the wedding and wedding planning are over. It was a fun 18 months. I absolutely loved reading and researching different ideas for our wedding. Our wedding was completely about us. I designed and made all of the decor, handmade most of the jewelry, wrote the ceremony, arranged the flowers, and designed the cakes. I had great friends that helped with the oh-so many projects. I even had a friend design and put together the wedding invitations and programs. I wanted to be sure that our wedding reflected our personalities and was in no way generic.
